Side note: Don't confuse Monstera Deliciosa Fruit with its Monstera Deliciosa Flower! - don't collect the latter, you can't eat it anyway, even cooked it gives you only 15 carbs plus a nice food poisoning. If you don't have bandages, eat cooked, meat, sleep, sit by a small fire, eat Brazil Nuts (+2 sanity), eat a Monstera Deliciosa Fruit etc. ♦ Rash - always have bandages at hand, untreated rashes can drive you insane. If you caught one or two or more parasites, eat a cup mushrooms for -1 or a blue unknown mushroom for -2 parasites. Wait and see the reaction if you caught a parasite or not. If you have got some of them, you can drink any water. Not a problem per se as long as you have some cup mushrooms at hand (the reddish unknown shrooms) which you can eat right after you caught a parasite or even better, the blue shrooms which provide -2 parasites per each (cup mushrooms -1). ![]() ♦ Parasites - you probably drank unsafe or even dirty water or you ate raw meat. ♦ Leeches - examine your body whenever the 'magnifier' icon appears over your health bar, remove all leeches, for each reduces your sanity by -1! you'd fear getting eaten by worms, leeches, spiders, snakes and stuff, right? :D So, just try not to do this in this game either. Not even beds low to the ground are safe enough.You wouldn't want to sleep in the dirt or in a bed of leafs in real life because. The ground hasn't changed just because there's a roof of palm leafs above it. ♦ Worms - most likely caught from sleeping on the ground, and yes, sleeping in a shelter and still having no bed still means sleeping on the ground. Sleeping in beds gives you +3 sanity too, sleeping on the ground, however, will reduce your sanity!įor players who keep wondering why they get insane over time though they'd allegedly do nothing wrong: Which also gives you +25 carbs (just like bananas), +15 proteins and +10 energy (unlike bananas). And has no decay timer either! Hence keep it in your backpack as long as you don't absolutely need it. Monstera Deliciosa Fruit gives you +3 sanity. The only fish soups that increase sanity are piranha, stingray and Black Arowana fish soups. No sanity increase from soups from rattlesnake, mice, snail, bones, prawns, angelfish, discus fish and red crabs. If it's about proteins/nutrition: always prefer soups.Ĭertain meat soups give +5 sanity as well and more protein than cooked meat (in return for a little less fats) but more importantly: soups have no decay timer, thus never spoil! Smoked meat gives only +4 and dried meat only +3 sanity. ![]() Sitting close by a small fire (get close enough) gives you up to +2 sanity every few minutes. ![]() Except for the disgusting stuff: larvae and maggots cooked will instead decrease your sanity still by -2 (raw by -5).
